We were privileged enough to go to Cancun a few years back. We took a ferry over to IsLa Mujeres for the day. We rented a moped and toured around the island. We had some great seafood on a table in the street. This was on the end of the island. There was a big motel and a shallow bay. These guys were all snorkeling and looking at the cool fish. Hard to see them with the reflection of the water. I am hoping things lighten up and tourism to the Caribbean will be back in a few months. It is nice thawing out occasionally from the South Dakota winters.
