It seems the term Black Friday was originally used for the day after thanksgiving by police in Philadelphia. They used it to describe the crowds and masses of traffic for the start of shopping season. Merchants are probably the ones who made the term stick though. Today being the busiest shopping day of the year, their books would go into the black on this day from all the sales. At any rate, enjoy the start of the holiday shopping season. We will have to see how the people react this year. I am betting South Dakota will be shopping and enjoying what lives they have.
