One thing that is interesting about Curaçao is the prepaid electricity. To refill it you go to a little window at the gas station. You give them the money and they give you a receipt with a 20 digit code on it. When you get back to the apartment you punch the code into the meter and it adds kilowatts. Appears to be about .50 cents per kilowatt. Will need to see how the monthly rate works out. Kind of an interesting way to do business. The weather is pretty so electricity is more of a want than a need.
