We were out driving and went to Playa Kanoa. This is definitely an off the beaten path location. The roads were poor to drive on. I am driving a Hyundai Elantra though… We saw some pretty good sized waves here. This side of the island definitely gets more motion in the ocean. We also found a hole where water was rushing in. It was very amazing to see how the waves pounded though the openings. The waves had eroded an undercut to the ground for several feet under where the level ground surface was.
We did see a surfer out in the waves further down the road. All sorts of different things the ocean brings for different people. Here are the videos taken.
