Loud motorcycles

So down here there are a few Harleys. Most of the motorcycles down here are not. Instead of putting a modified exhaust on, they just take the muffler and empty it out. The favorite thing to to is to keep the motorcycle in neutral and let it run to the rev limiter. This is from small bikes to Haybusas. I am not sure what this does for the rider. It is not showing who is faster or better, just louder. I’ll never be happier than to get to Sturgis to the rumble of a Harley. here is an example of one for sale on Facebook. I would probably check the oil for metal shavings before I thought about buying it…
