Curaçao has plenty of Christmas cheer. Plenty of decorations put up to get people in the mood.

Went to Caracasbaai for the afternoon. We started off at an overlook of the bay. Heck of a steep cliff! Pretty big bay. We then went to the restaurant on the beach. Went with my neighbor Aldo. Fun time.

Great day to be out and about. A little cloudy/ light rain which was fine with me. Went to Playa Lagun and did some snorkeling. Some guy said he saw a turtle. The turtle managed to evade my view. Quite the variety of sea glass here. Sea glass is broken bottles which are smoothed by the ocean and eventually make it to shoe. There are numerous shapes and sizes for sea glass treasure hunters. Here are a few examples. A few shells mixed in

Emma bridge moved for boat traffic this afternoon. They have a ferry as a replacement when the bridge is out. This was the shortest ferry ride I have been on. Probably 5 minutes tops. Went to the beach yesterday. The beach is clean and neat. We were there for a while and someone stopped buy to have us pay rental for the beach chairs $.5.00. No problem. Then a little while later someone else stopped by the have us pay a beach use fee $3.50. Seemed strange to me.Continue reading “Mambo beach”

There were a bunch of sailboats out today. It was fun to watch them go back and forth into the wind and sideways. it almost looks like they are going to tip over. Here are some videos.

Pizza tonight with great friends at II Forno pizza on Caracasbai. Nice place. Little lamps at the table for mood lighting. Had toasted bread with an olive mash for a topping to start off with.
