Five O’Clock Somewhere

Went to the Five O’Clock somewhere bar today. It is right by the cruise ship pier and at the end of the Rif Fort mall area. Pretty good view. I got sticker shock though with the price of a beer $8.50 for a ten ounce beer draft beer! The bartender informed me later there isContinue reading “Five O’Clock Somewhere”

Rif Fort Curaçao

The Rif Fort was built in 1828 to protect the entrance to Anna Bay. It is UNESCO world heritage site. Now it is a mall. They seemed to do a nice job on the remodel of it. Pretty much a Cruise Ship mall now.

The bridge swings out of the way to allow massive container and oil ships to pass when necessary. It is a very unique bridge and IContinue reading “Moving pedestrian pontoon bridge.”

Rough road in Jan Thiel Curaçao

Had a great time looking around the Jan Thiel area of Curaçao. Might have to rent a Jeep next time or….. New commercial for a Kia Picante? Since everyone takes everything off road today in commercials. Hmmm….

Playa Forti Curacao

Heavy waves today at Playa Forti by Westpundt. Cool restaurant where they do cliff diving. No cliff diving today because of the heavy surf today. Good food. Heavy crowd watching a soccer game.

Storm rolling into Curaçao

Looks like a little rain coming in today. The waves are starting to crash stronger onto the shore. I love the green here.
