Years of preparation came together. First full winter in the Caribbean. Looking forward to the adventures on the island.

Leaving Miami today for Curaçao. Abandoning the winter jacket in the hotel. Looking at temperatures for the next 5 months it will be unnecessary.

The trip begins today. Halloween. We are at Joe Foss Field in Sioux Falls SD. Looks like they brought out dinosaurs for trick or treat to the runway!

What else is there to do on a hot summer day. Play hide and seek with the other animals…!

Had a great time in the hills riding the fire roads. One of the guys had a drone and took some photos. Great to be able to ride some different gravel roads.

Quite a few more riders this year. Around 500 I’m told. Good group of adventure riders.

A large variety of makes, models and builds of adventure bikes out here. Goes to show you you can have an adventure no matter what you ride.

Made it out to the Buffalo Chip for the adventure rally. A lot of cool bikes and roads. It is nice to have some variety. Here are a few pictures from this afternoon’s adventure. I had to measure the tree before we rode under it. Fun stuff.

Sometimes the road less traveled turns into no road to travel.

A red headed woodpecker showed up today for a snack in the trees. Such a colorful bird.
