Here is a picture of the beer tap at The Other Place in Amsterdam. The beer was cold and interestingly enough it was very like Heineken! Very interesting use of motorcycle parts and memorabilia scattered throughout the bar. One of many places we had stopped at in our tour of the bar district.

There is something amazing about the power of a fire. The way the flames eat up the fuel is amazing to watch. The crackling and popping almost sounds like the fire is chewing the fuel. Who doesn’t like a warm fire to watch on a cool evening?

I had a great time fishing with the Callaway men. A real good group of business men. Each of them had their own knowledge base with their father Kieth passing on his knowledge to his sons. Another river day at the River Bend’s Resort. Had a great time and caught some more fish. Too windy for the lake, but the river provided fish and a wind break. Called it a little early and now have an inside view. I am pretty happy with the slot Walleye I caught. Life is good.

Managed to catch 30 keeper fish today. It was a real nice fall day for northern Minnesota. Really had a great time fishing with the Callaway Crew. Holy cow not ready for the cold. Too windy to go on the lake of the woods, so on the river. Fish aren’t biting today. The wind is biting cold though. Made it till 130 in the afternoon and done for the day. Fortunately the beer is cold here as well.

There is nothing quite like a cold beer in a frosty mug. Something about the frosty mug makes the beer look better. Another great day at Bertz Bar in Beresford, SD.

With the fires on the west coast and the harvest dust, the sunrises and sets have been pretty awesome to see. These sunrises and sets remind me of my days in Korea. The sun always seemed to take up so much of the sky. This is finishing up a 2 mile walk and looking back.Continue reading “SuNsEt”
