I stopped by and talked to an old friend today. We worked together for several years. He was always the guy who would listen and loved to joke around. Unfortunately the Social Distancing has curbed his ability to chat with people face to face as he loves to do. The sign let me know heContinue reading “SoCiAl DiStAnCiNg FuN”

OfF RoAd On ThE BmW
It was a nice day in the hills. I was trying to take a shortcut south out of Nemo to the Sugar Shack on HWY 385. I think I took a different route than most people do. I didn’t see a single Harley all the way across between tar roads. I did see 3 dirtContinue reading “OfF RoAd On ThE BmW”
TiE DyE DaY
Tie dye day at the farm. This was my first attempt at it. We soaked the shirts in a solution of some sort to start with. I then was issued a handful of rubber bands. All I had to do was tie the shirt in random knots. The knot tying is what gives the shirtContinue reading “TiE DyE DaY”

It was a warm day for building a tree fort, but it will be so cool when it is finished. It is right in the front yard and kind of reminds me of the house on the rock in Wisconsin. Not quite on the same scale, but has a free standing effect. Jason Callaway, whoContinue reading “TrEe FoRt”
DiMe HoRsHoE Bar
Stopped at the Dime Horseshoe Bar in Sundance, Wyoming to cool off. Nice older bar. We missed the Wednesday activities of the burnout contest downtown, but the bartender said there was a great turnout. They inlaid silver dimes into the bar as part of the decoration. I thought it was cool. Here are some pictures.

The Stonehouse Saloon is located between Huelett, Wyoming and Belle Fourche, South Dakota. It is only open during the Sturgis Bike Rally. The house is built with stones and was put together to stand the wear of time. We stopped there and they had a live country band. They sounded great. I did not catchContinue reading “ThE StOnEhOuSe SaLoOn”

One of the must see sights when in the eastern Wyoming area is Devil’s Tower. The tower is a massive geological uprising coming out of the prairie. The tower is considered to be the largest columnar jointing made of phonolite porphyry. If you get close to the tower you can see it is made ofContinue reading “DeViLs ToWeR, WyOmInG”
HoMeWaRd BoUnD
Anther Sturgis rally in the books. I was glad to be able to make to to the 80th anniversary of the rally. The rally is a very pro American place to be. I think people just feel more alive and thankful to be alive. I have some other things we did to chat about, butContinue reading “HoMeWaRd BoUnD”

Stayed in Deadwood last night. The city seems to be adding some new bars and restaurants. We ate at Mavericks on Main Street. The food was prepared perfect. The Saloon Number 10 had a great band. We stayed for two sets and was time to call it a night though. The Saloon was packed asContinue reading “BaR FuN”
IrOn MoUnTaIn RoAd
It was a beautiful night at the State Game Lodge last night. We rode the Iron Mountain Road today. We rode through three different herds of buffalo on the road. I am fairly certain they were protesting all the loud motorcycles. We managed to get through the herds safely. We then rode the numerous curvesContinue reading “IrOn MoUnTaIn RoAd”
