The annual Sturgis rally is upon us. COVID doesn’t seem to slow down the bikes coming into the great State of South Dakota. Getting my faithful steed ready to go join them at the end of next week. Oil changed, brake fluid changed, tires coming in Wednesday for the trip. Up on the center stand and put it in gear and….. GROWL GRIND GROWL GRIND… Great. Looks like plans might need to be adjusted. Sounds like the joint in the final drive is going out. So spend the rest of the day. taking the bags off and loading the bike onto the pickup truck. Second time it has been on a truck. The first time on the truck was when it was picked up in the winter of 2014. Will have to see if BMW of Omaha is able to get the bike roadworthy in time. Here is a video of the grind.
