Daaibooi (die boy) beach
At Daaibooi beach today. Great beach day. This is a great sheltered cove for snorkeling and floating around. Just the right number of people there.
Security
They sure take security to a higher level here. The windows and doors to our apartment have bars on them. You can lock up to 3 padlocks on the door frame. It is a bit of a fire hazard as you would have to unlock the padlocks to get out in case of a fire.Continue reading “Security”
Street art (aka graffiti)
There is a lot of street art on abandoned buildings here in Curaçao. Some of it makes you think about things a bit. This one is on Petermai Street. My walls have been moved…
Blackjack Sports Bar
We went to the Blackjack Sports bar today to watch the World Cup game. France won 2-1 over England. Pretty fun game to watch. Nice place to watch the game. They have about 15 tv screens to choose from. Great service. We will go back again.
Virtual happy hour
Friday night was a virtual happy hour by a zoom meeting. A good time was had by all. It took Covid to learn how to do this. At least we were able to chat and catch up. It is always better to be able to see people when talking to them.
Mistral Restaurant
Had a great meal at Mistral Restaurant downtown. I had wings and fries. They were great. Outdoor dining and they had a small band tonight.
Norton
So this classic Norton is for sale on Curacao. It appears to be in good shape. Price is about $3400.00 USD. I will need to do some checking on registration and insurance and how that all works. Might be a fun keeper to ship back with me to the States.
You do you.
It seems like you have a broad choice of appearance to your properties down here. This place seems to miss Bob Marley and Che Gevarra. This house is right around the corner. Seems like a broad freedom of choice down here. When they say you do you. They mean it.
Classy vehicles here
I have spotted a quite a few classic vehicles here. The guy in the Gran Torino was happy. I love the way this Land Rover looks as well.
